I never thought before having children that I would say this, but all you moms will know what I mean…I want to be a stay at home mom! After having my two daughters I did not want to go back to the corporate world of working late, traveling and not being home.
I wanted to see every little thing that my daughters learned and experienced. I was fortunate to have a friend that was working from home and making a very nice income. Here I am two years later and glad I made the leap into something that gives me flexibility.
In 2008, I found myself an unemployed single mother of a one year old daughter, requiring a substantial six figure income. My story started years before when I graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Accountancy and began my career as an auditor with KPMG LLP. I spent six years at KPMG, during which I became a CPA and advanced to a management role serving retail and finance clients. I then spent the next 6 years at HSBC Auto Finance where I continued to climb the corporate ladder in a variety of roles and departments including fraud risk management, project and demand management, and product development. I spent my last two years at HSBC as the VP and Director of Product Development responsible for $6 billion per year in new originations. Throughout my 12 years at KPMG and HSBC, my primary focus was to be a top performer and progress through higher levels of management.
However, after 6 years, HSBC decided to close down their Auto Finance operations in the United States due to the struggling financial market and the US economy. In many ways, I am thankful for the turn of events at HSBC because it gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate the priorities in my life. I decided that the most important aspect of my next career was that it needed to be flexible enough to allow me to spend more time with my daughter and to be present for every important (no matter how small) milestone in her life. Because I had become accustomed to a substantial six figure income (and had the related mortgage and expenditures associated with that previous income), I knew that I needed to find an opportunity that would not only allow flexibility and control of my schedule, but also the opportunity to earn significant income. That is when I decided to build my own business.
I have been a practicing surgeon for almost 20 years, specializing in general and trauma surgery for the first half of my career, and reconstruction and plastics during the latter half. Despite the fantastic surgeries, fantastic patients and fantastic income, my career left me absolutely no time. The freedom that I thought came along with the money and prestige of being a successful surgeon simply wasn’t there. In addition, the ever-increasing hours demanded of my time associated with paperwork and administrative duties, as well as the changing healthcare industry made me realize that things were only going to get worse.
I wanted to continue to help people, but I was tired of missing holiday festivities, family dinners, and really just never having quality time with my family. I thank God for providing me the hope, courage and vehicle to make a change in my life. Not only have I been able to replace my surgeon’s income, but I am now working around my family life and it is so freeing! I now travel to our huge family reunions in Illinois every Summer, take off for long weekend getaways with my husband, and enjoy relaxing dinners with my family. There’s just nothing better than finishing up dinner and then plopping down on the couch for popcorn and a movie with the ones you love. In short, I love my business partners and my life!
I have been working for Corporate America for 14 years. Although I love my job as an Assistant Vice President of a major financial corporation I realized that all of my hard work and effort will never be enough to give me the freedom I truly desires. As a wife and mother of small children, I want time and financial freedom to do the things I enjoy with my family without the barrier of finances or long work hours. In an attempt to gain that freedom I started a retail company, but it was impossible to build alongside a full time job and I missed the camaraderie of working with others towards a common goal. After joining our company I found that I could reach my financial goals while working with an extraordinary team. I have been recruiting and training others part time, alongside my full time professional career, and I loves working with others to achieve their personal goals. With a clear plan in place, each day I am one step closer to achieving my goals of not only replacing my six figure salary, but exceeding it.
Before I had children, I worked in the banking industry for years doing everything from tellering to mortgages. I knew I did not want to return to long hours in banking on top of coming home and having to take care of a household, children and a husband. Now I am able to fulfill my dream of being a stay at home mother and have the flexibilty of being at home with my children and taking advantage of a true residual income.
I was in my 15th year of a very successful automotive marketing career when in 2007, my husband's employer offered him a transfer from Michigan to Southern California. Our decision that he should take the transfer was an emotional one because while it meant I would have to leave my career, my husband and I both knew that it was what was best for our family. As a result, I was suddenly able to focus 100% of my attention on raising our two young children and, though I missed the challenges and interaction of the business world, I embraced being a stay-at-home mom and loved it.
My innate desire to have a professional career of my own didn’t go away, however, and I began searching for a unique opportunity to meet my professional need while continuing to be home with my children. In 2010, I stumbled upon MomsMakingSixFigures. With this business model, which comes with a proven 27-year-old infrastructure of established tools and resources, I was able to create a business for myself that required no financial investment. And the best part about this business was (and still is) that I earn my income working with a company that focuses entirely on providing a high quality of life; to people who build a business like me in the form of a work-life balance, and to consumers of its products in the form of their physical and environmental wellness. For the first time in my career, I can now say that I have attained balance in my life, and I absolutely love what I do!
I have worked as a clinical Dietitian for 10+ years, with a bachelors in Foods and Nutrition from San Diego State University. Over the years I have been able to slowly decrease my hospital hours as I have had children. As a mom of three small kids, I had been fortunate enough to pick and choose my hours and work when I want. Well…we all know life doesn’t always go as we have planned, and recently I have become a single mom who needs to work enough to make my ends meet. Although being a Dietitian is a great education and career to have, it doesn’t provide the income that I need or the flexibility that I want to maintain with my kids. Finding this business has been a great fit for me as I know that I am still focused on helping people lead healthier lives! Starting my own business is also allowing me to create my own schedule and continue to be a part of my kids’ day to day lives that is so important! Not only that, but it is enabling me to exceed the income potential that I had if I were to continue working away from home. I truly feel like I have been given the opportunity to blend a fulfilling career and home life.
I have been an educator for the past 25 years. I graduated from Saint Joseph’s College in New York with a B.A. in Elementary education and am certified in Elementary and Special education. I taught Kindergarten for ten years and then opened my own business, an accredited Nursery School in Long Island, New York. When my family relocated to San Diego, I opened a second childcare facility. Being a business owner all these years has been rewarding but comes with challenges. The recent economic climate has made it increasingly difficult to operate a profitable business. I find myself working endless hours and at one point, I even considered closing one of my facilities. I was looking for a solution that would help me keep my business running but also provide another means of income for my family, something I could do alongside my current business. I was introduced to this team of dedicated moms and immediately knew this was the answer I had been looking for a very long time. Now, I get to help my childcare clients by keeping my doors open, while at the same time generate a very nice part time income that will last a lifetime.
My name is Kara Horat. I have been a real estate broker and business owner in San Diego for many years, along with my business partner and husband, Larry. Larry and I had worked hard in our real estate practice for many years to achieve what we thought was stability and financial security. While we weren’t naïve enough to think that the real estate market wouldn’t cycle down, we did not anticipate that the “global meltdown” that began several years ago would be so severe or long in duration. Like many business owners, our business was hit hard by the economy. While we continued to help clients with their real estate transactions, Larry and I realized that the landscape of the real estate market in Southern California had changed tremendously. We found (and still find) ourselves working much harder and longer yet making less income than before. This lead us to conclude that it was the perfect time to try something different – but what? Whatever this “something” was would have to not only generate enough income to justify any time spent, but it would have to provide Larry and I the flexibility to be there for our daughter, Holli. We were simply determined not to resort to traditional part-time jobs that would prevent me from being able to accompany Holli on field trips and to attend other school functions.
As I began my search, I thought of a good friend of mine, Heidi, who had started a business helping moms a couple of years earlier. While we kept in touch, Heidi and I were both busy moms and businesswomen so I really didn’t know much about her business. Since I’m not someone who normally embraces change and I am definitely not the type of person to jump into something, I had many questions for Heidi. If I’m being honest, before we met for coffee to discuss her business, I was skeptical that her business could generate the kind of income that I needed to earn in order to “fill the gap” created by the economic down-turn in our real estate business. Again, without know anything about her business, I had assumed Heidi was probably making at most a few hundred dollars per month. Well, I’m glad I was open minded enough to meet with Heidi because I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the income potential far exceeded my expectations. So, for the good of my family and trusting my friend, I got started with “Moms Making Six Figures.”
After about a year and a half of some good old-fashioned hard work, with the support of Heidi, the Moms Making Six Figures Team and my husband, I have transformed my family’s income and our lives! I am earning a significant income and have flexibility so that I can still be there for Holli. I also get to work with some incredible women and get to help others achieve their goals, too! I am on my way to earning a monthly income that I never imagined could compare to my real estate practice, pre-meltdown. In fact, my earnings this year with “Moms Making Six Figures” should surpass our real estate earnings by a wide margin. All I can say is that the word “grateful” is what comes to mind when I think of Heidi’s help and guidance in this endeavor. I love that I can take what I’ve learned from her and help other moms have what we both now have; flexibility to be there for our families, an amazing group of women to work with, and a pretty great income, too!
To be honest, I never wanted to be a stay at home mom. I had always been driven by the success of my career and very successful in the banking world of corporate America. After I had my first child who is now almost 10 years old, I decided that it was best for my family if I had more of a presence at home. I wasn’t entirely happy with this decision, but at the time it seemed like the thing to do. In the 7 years to follow, I had 2 more children and realized that there was still something missing. I got my real estate broker’s license and opened up my own little business to fill the void I was feeling. It was great to set my own hours and work when I wanted. The money was great, but when the market started to go down, so did my business and I just didn’t have what it took to compete with the big companies out there. Also during this time, my life saw a big personal change when my husband and I separated and divorced.
So here I am today, single mother of three children under the age of 10 and wondering how I am going to put food on the table. Real Estate wasn’t providing the consistent monthly income that I needed to support my family and yet I couldn’t seem to find a traditional job in the current economic environment. I needed to have a career that would allow me the flexibility to make the baseball games and ballet recitals. I needed a job that would understand when I had to take a day off because one of my kids was sick…I was so fortunate to meet someone who was building her own business and working from home, setting her hours, and most importantly she was making a stable income, one that would more than support my little family of four. I couldn’t be more happy today as I am building my own business and providing for my family while allowing myself the flexibility to not miss out on the little things in my kids’ lives.
Going back to Corporate America was not an option for me after finding out that my 16 month old son was diagnosed with Autism. Between endless therapies and doctors appointments, I seemed to have a full time job just managing my son's very special needs.
My husband and I are now at that age where all our friends are starting to send their kids off to college and are feeling the 'pinch' of that extra expense of tuition. In our reality we have been experiencing those expenses over the past twelve years just trying to help our boy be the best he can be. It hasnt been easy and although two incomes would have helped tremendously, we had no choice, but for me to be a stay at home mom.
Our son, Luke, is now 14 years old and we know now that he won't ever be going off to college, but he will remain living with us for the rest of our lives. We thought at this point we would be close to retirement, but with the cost of living with a special needs child, my husband's dream to retire after 30 years with Corporate America is no longer a reality. We always thought we would downsize and maybe invest in some income properties or run a small business, so we could provide for Luke's lifelong needs.
My sister Cindy introduced me to the Mom's Making Six Figures team and I was immediately impressed with the flexibility and income potential for her. But when she closed down her business to work with the Mom's Making Six Figures Team full time, my wheels started turning. Could I actually start a business part time to help my husband with his dream to be able to retire one day and still take care of a very special needs child for the rest of our lives? Not only has this offered me the flexibility I needed, but I can now see the income potential is truly a reality. This is a real business, that can generate a real life long residual income. It is exciting and rewarding work and it has been a huge blessing in our lives.
My kids aren’t little ones any longer, so my need to stay at home to care for them may be a bit different today than it was 10 years ago. But, with boys 18, 15 and 12, my family is a whirlwind of activity from first thing in the morning until well past the time my husband and I are ready for bed. I’ve moved from “Mommy” to “Mom”, but still want and need to be at home for my family.
With MomsMakingSixFigures.com I have found a business that has afforded me the flexibility to be home with my family while also earning a significant income. I started my business in 2011 as a means to offset the new, additional expenses we are facing with our oldest son entering college. I dreamed big when I started my business and set out right away to make it meaningful. The team at MomsMakingSixFigures.com gave me the resources I needed to get started and to stay productive. Working with my dear friends and supportive family has made every day in this business a joy…and the income I am now earning will cover those college expenses and even provide some extras for my family.
I’ve been in the corporate world of publicity and marketing for more than fifteen years, and although I had a wonderful, well-paying job and in the past years had some flexibility of working from home, it simply didn’t allow me to be involved in my four children’s lives in the way I had dreamed. This may seem corny, but this business has provided me with an answer to having it all! I’m working towards replacing my corporate vice president income and have time to be at every game, show, in the classroom and even savor those “clingy moments” with my baby. They are only little for so long – and my baby girl goes to college in 3 years! I need to be home and really involved but being able to contribute financially to my family is important, and something I'm proud of.
Until being introduced to Moms Making Six Figures, I had spent 21 years in the media business in roles ranging from sales, marketing and ultimately, upper management. During that time, I routinely worked 50+ hours per week away from home and, with today's technology, was always tethered to the “electronic leash,” even when not at work. My husband travels extensively for business and we reached the point last year when we both decided that “something had to give.” As a result of Moms Making Six Figures, I have now found true balance in my life. My children are thriving because not only am I able to be there for them, but I am a happier, calmer version of myself. I have always loved being a mentor in business and now I get to show other women how they, too can have it all!
After 3 & 1/2 years of fertility treatments and then blessed with the gift of twin girls I was bound and determined to be home with them to enjoy every little moment. With that came the financial stress of cutting back, coupon shopping and praying at the end of the month that we had made ends meet. Which was a far cry from the plentiful days of medical sales, I missed having the freedom of money but was not willing to go back to the stress. I knew I needed something flexible and that would work around my girls nap schedules. Mom's making six figures has been that answer. I am so happy that I stuck to what was important to me and found something that I truly love to do and could fit around my life!!!
I have a Master's degree from Northwestern University and have worked as an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist since 1998. I love working with people, teaching them how to get healthy, return to physical activities and ultimately live happier lives. But working in a clinic with patients required me to be away from my family for long hours and even though I had a wonderful and very expensive education I lacked control over both my schedule and my income.
Moms Making Six Figures has given me what I have always been looking for - the best of both worlds! I don't feel like I have to sacrifice family life for my career anymore. I work my own schedule and still teach people about wellness, while at the same time I have the ability to earn far beyond what I did before. And now I get to help other women have it all too. I am so grateful be a part of this organization.
I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Moms Making Six Figures over a year ago. I was not truly looking for a business to work from home, but this was an opportunity that could not be passed up. I had always dreamed of being available for my three boys, to set my schedule, my hours. Something that I could control.
After I graduated from SDSU with a Finance Degree I started working in the mortgage industry where I have spent the last 20 years. Over the course of many years my career kept growing and advancing which meant long hours, lots of stress and many days spent traveling to various areas on the West Coast. In the meantime, my boys were also growing yet I was not around too much to see it. The mortgage industry has had many ups and downs but overall has been good. But now I feel as though I am on my way to a future that I can control and work as hard or as little as I need to. My main focus is mentoring, teaching and watching my boys grow into men. This is possible with Moms Making Six Figures and true residual income.
Isn’t life amazing! You just never know where each decision and turn will lead you and I am so thankful that my life has brought me to the Mom’s Making Six Figures team. I am a blessed mother to 4 daughters and so thankful to be building a business that allows me the flexibility to be at every event and yet has the ability to provide me not just security now, but financial freedom and security for our future.
I have both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Social Work and specialized for many years in the field of Medical Social Work, with an emphasis in Emergency Room and Trauma Social Work. After having my first daughter 11 years ago, I simply could not work night shifts anymore. However, I felt that even working day shifts kept me away from her too much. With each additional daughter, I was able to work less and less, yet my income was needed more and more. Thus, the joy that came with each child was accompanied by an increase in the financial “squeeze” felt by our family.
Seven years ago, we lost our 2nd daughter, Sarah, in a drowning accident. Understandably, this tragedy forever changed all of our lives. I now hold onto my girls so tightly, not wanting to miss a moment of their precious lives and my life passion has become teaching survival swimming to infants and children. While my new passion provided professional flexibility with regard to my time, its seasonal nature precludes me from achieving the financial stability that our family needs. The Mom’s Making Six Figures team is amazing and is helping me bridge that financial gap and eliminate the “squeeze.” The support, guidance and camaraderie have given me all the tools I need to have a home based business that allows me to be the Mom I want to be.
I have loved climbing the corporate ladder over the last twelve years and the financial benefits of a successful sales and marketing career have been amazing. As a newlywed in my mid-thirties, my priorities really started to change, and I started to understand that my 50+ hour work weeks would make starting a family nearly impossible. I am so blessed that a dear friend of mine introduced me to Moms Making Six Figures. I am still able to experience the success I have always had, but I am doing it on my terms. I now have the flexibility I dreamed of, and am thrilled to be working on starting a family.
I have been fortunate to be a stay home mom for the past 18 years, raising our three children, ages 18, 16 and 12. As my children required less of my time, my enthusiasm and excitement for work began to return. However, my family commitments still require that I be able to work from home and that I can enjoy extremely flexible hours. I wanted to work the hours that I chose, without giving up the ability to still volunteer at their schools, going to their games and participating in their activities. It also became important to me that, without giving up these special activities, that I could work with great people and still able to be at home when my children came home from school. Also, I want to set an example that as a wife and mother I can significantly contribute to the household income. Joining the MomsMakingSixFigures team has been a perfect balance. I am enjoying the best of both worlds- working from home without compromising my role as a mother.
Some people may find this hard to believe but I love to work. It has always been in my genes to work hard and often go beyond what was required of my job. I set my career goals high and put a plan in motion to have a rewarding career. While working full-time leading a large customer service and sales team for a large Internet retailer, I earned a Master’s Degree at University of San Diego. Everything I had been working towards with my career was paying off. I transitioned into a position that leveraged my degree and my strengths as well as afforded me the opportunity to work closely with the executive management team. I was making well over six figures and situated perfectly to continue to advance into executive leadership. But after having two kids, and trying to balance the demands of a fast-paced job and the desire to be a balanced, loving mom, I found myself torn. For over a year and half I searched for something that would allow me to do both. I was convinced it did not exist but something had to change I was exhausted. Luckily, the world has it way of presenting things to you when you need it most. With Mom’s Making Six Figures, I have been given the flexibility to put my family first and still fulfill my need to excel in the working world as well. Now I can work hard, but on my terms.
I have been married for seven years and am the mother of two young children, a girl and a boy. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education/Biomechanics from the University of California, Davis, in 1994 and my Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 1998. I have worked locally in Occupational Therapy since 1999. My areas of expertise include neurology (spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and stroke) and geriatrics. I am also the Executive Director and Founder of San Diego Hippotherapy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit program using the movement of the horse in skilled therapy. I am a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) Registered Therapist and NARHA Registered Instructor, and Region 11 (CA, NV, HI) liaison to the American Hippotherapy Association. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy riding my horses, scrapbooking, reading, and learning about organic gardening. I first became interested in the products because they are safer for your home, and the quality of the whole line including the nutritional supplements. With a history of cancer on both sides of the family, I was very concerned about making our home environment as safe as possible. Although I had never before worked at a home-based business, when I saw the difference the products made in our lives, I became more interested in the business aspect. The need for my “regular” job, in addition to running a non-profit program, has always left me feeling like I don’t have enough time to devote to any one thing. My goal now, through this business, is to have the income and flexibility in my schedule to spend more time at home with my family, and be able to devote more time to my equine-assisted therapy practice, rather than answering to a schedule set by an employer.
I am the mother of three amazing teenagers! I know that may surprise you...not that I have teenagers, but that I would describe them as amazing! Here’s the thing...I want them to stay that way. My husband and I have tried to instill in our kids strong values and it has been my job to be there to help guide and teach them. My husband has a very demanding job and works an ever-changing, hectic schedule. Last year, my husband worked 485 hours of overtime just so we could pay our bills. It became clear to me that I needed to start financially contributing to our household, however, we agreed that I needed to find something that wouldn’t undermine the solid foundation that we'd built for our family.
I was introduced to Moms Making Six Figures by my cousin, Angie, and it seemed like a perfect fit. Growing up together, Angie had always been a wonderful role model for me. So, just like when we were kids, I decided to follow suit and began building a business with Moms Making Six Figures with the support of Angie as my mentor.
What I love about Moms Making Six Figures is that I have been able to work around my kids' busy after-school schedules; not missing a football, basketball or softball game, wrestling or track meet! I enjoy having a new found purpose to my days now that the kids aren’t little anymore. Moms Making Six Figures has far exceeded my expectations, as I now have the opportunity to flexibly earn a professional-type income while helping others reach their financial goals at the same time!
I am just like you...a mom who wants "balance" in her life. Balance doesn't come easy when working a full-time job, being an involved parent, maintaining friendships and trying to take care of yourself. I was working in the media business, making a great income which I was very fortunate to earn, but found myself living to work rather than working to live. Though I was good at it, I had no passion for my career and was worried about the example I was setting for my daughter with regard to life-priorities. Looking back, I would categorize myself as a task-oriented mother: wake up, rush to school, rush to work, work, rush to school for pick-up, rush home, dinner, bath, story, bed...you know the drill.
It wasn't until I found Moms Making Six Figures that I realized I could have the life I had always imagined but had ruled out as unattainable. I now have a successful career that I am passionate about and the flexibility to have the incredible presence in my daughter's life that is so important to me. As a result of being so much happier in general, I have become a better friend and also better to myself which, in turn, has made me an even better mom. I also feel that my actions are setting a good example for my daughter, showing her that it is never too late to reach for your goals and the importance of enjoying what you do with your life. I want her to look at me as a role model and be proud of what I've accomplished for us. And if that inspires her to find her passion and do something great with it, then I've done my job.
My name is Stacey McLoughlin and I have owned an interior design firm for 17 years working with single family home builders and apartment developers creating interiors for model homes, and apartment communities. When I was introduced to Moms Making Six Figures I was very impressed with the business model, the training, the support team and most of all the lifestyle that you can create by building your own business, As a business owner, I know what it takes to run a business, and Moms Making Six Figures makes sense.
I am very grateful that I can work in this business while I run my design business because it gives me great flexibility with my children. My daughter Ellie is 12, and my son James is 10. They are both very active with sports, and school so I am able to be there for them when they get home from school and I am involved in all their activities, while setting my own work schedule.
I have been able to generate a second income stream for my family that has resulted in residual income. Due to this, I am able to send my daughter to private school for middle school and high school, and not feel the financial pressure. I love working with other moms and business men and women. I can help others reach their goals, and therefore they can be home with their kids, have a flexible schedule and have more time with their families.
I love this company and the wonderful team that I work with………
10 years ago I was fortunate enough to stop working in corporate America as a software company sales professional to start my family and raise my two children Abigail & Matthew. As the years passed and they grew into school age kids, and the economy took a dive, I realized I wanted to contribute and help make a difference in my family’s wealth management. I wanted my contribution to be significant but I didn’t want to work long hours or work in an office. It just wouldn’t work for my busy volunteer and kids’ sports schedules. And then, I found Moms Making Six Figures. What a blessing. With this team, I can work the hours that I want to work, from my home, and make that significant contribution to my family’s portfolio. Additionally, I am helping others grow their wealth, maintain healthy lifestyles and I am having a lot of fun too! As I grow my business, I see my kids support me as I grow. I am a role model to them now more than ever and it feels great! Moms Making Six Figures has truly brought a balance and peace to my family.
My name is Julie, throughout my career as an event planner I enjoyed helping people accomplish their dreams. As my life shifted into being a wife and mother of 3, I became passionate about nurturing the lives of my family; making sure their well being was priority. When I teamed up with Moms Making Six Figures it changed my life, my career! They helped me see that I was able to combine my passions; being with my family, providing knowledge on living a healthier life and helping others achieve their passions and goals. I am now able to work from home and provide for my family in a way that is flexible and fulfilling.
Being a grandmother, or Gigi as they call me, of four beautiful grandchildren, two of whom live cross-country, I wanted the opportunity and luxury of watching them grow up. With a bachelor's degree in Education and a Masters in Organizational Management, I have been in corporate America for over 30 years as an Instructional Designer, wondering where my next billable project would come from. With the economy tanking, my husband and I watched as our life's saving disappeared. When my husband was laid off of his six-figure job, we were forced to short sell our home and wonder how we could ever make our dreams come true. We are now so excited to be a part of this team with so many wonderful business partners and can now see the road ahead as a bright future that we are certain we can obtain.
As a small business owner, I have spent the past 4 years working long hours creating a company that I can be proud of. When I first began planning for my business, I had high hopes for income that would support my family. Over the past few years, I have not seen that hard work come back to me monetarily. The economy has continued to hit my industry as people continue to lose their jobs. My husband kept his job in the hospitality industry to help us stay afloat as my massage therapy business grew. Then, last December, he lost that income stream. Thankfully, a good friend of mine had shared Mom's Making Six Figures with me a few months prior. When my husband lost his job, we got serious about working with the MMSF team. We are creating true RESIDUAL income with an amazing team, and it's fun! Best of all, my husband was able to participate in our two son's (10 and 8yrs) soccer season for the first time in their entire lives because we have our time back. Having my husband home on the weekend is a priceless treasure, I am so excited to be part of this team and help others get their lives back!
I was born and raised in San Diego into a wonderful and supportive family. My parents made it clear education was an extremely important part of becoming a responsible adult. I successfully completed my Bachelor’s degree from the University of California in Los Angeles in Sociological Business. Soon after graduating from UCLA a position became available to work in the Children’s Costume and Toy Industry. As a full time single mom and working full time, I was searching for ways to supplement my income and my daughters growing activities. Additionally, I was looking ahead at her future and the need to begin saving for her college fund and I knew I needed another source of income.
After I heard a close childhood friend Angie Gange was expanding her Mom’s Making Six Figures business, I called her to see how I could become a part of her success. After learning more about the business, I began to realize what a great opportunity was awaiting me. It fits the mold that I’m looking for - flexible hours, great money and a company that I can truly stand behind! Partnering with Angie and being able to help others build successful businesses has allowed me to bridge the gap between what I am making in my full time career and the growing expenses raising a daughter as a single mom incurs.
I am a licensed Civil Engineer with nearly 10 years of experience in the Land Development Industry. I absolutely LOVE this career, but when my daughter was born with a permanent hearing loss, my career outside of the home needed to take a back seat. In order for her to excel at understanding the world around her, she needed me at home with her. I cut my hours back at work, and it was not long before the income gap and financial stress surfaced. I needed to supplement my income with a job that allowed me the flexibility to work from home. 18 months later when my son was born, my need escalated to replacing my income so that I could stay at home to raise my babies while still engaging in a professional business.
I feel very lucky that I was introduced to this amazing team of women, and have been able to make a change in my life that provides a more healthy, happy life for me and my family. Life is precious and I feel very blessed to have this opportunity to work with other Moms, spend time at home with my kids, AND make a healthy contribution to our family income. This is the absolute perfect thing for me and my family!
