I always wanted to be an animal trainer… I know, not something you hear every day! Before I even graduated college with a Psychology degree, I had my dream job training dolphins in Orlando. Seven years later, after meeting my husband, I realized that working overnights, holidays, and weekends wasn’t going to be conducive to being a mom. I then pursued teaching for three years, where I quickly learned how rewarding it is to help children and build relationships with new people. I was still training, but now I was training high schoolers who could talk back! Fast forward to my second year teaching when my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our daughter. I planned to take time off to bond with her – all the while unpaid and my husband working extra hours. When I returned to work, I felt like I was broken inside. I was missing milestones and I was spending more time with children that were not my own. My husband and I decided that it was time for another change – I needed to be a stay at home mom, but I knew the financial stress that could bring our family. That’s when the Moms Making Six Figures team found me. I thank God every day I was introduced to this team, and with hard work and determination, I am now in control of my time – and that feels amazing!
